چکیده

The Chinese mugwort (Artemisia argyi Lév. et Vaniot) is an important traditional medicine plant that ubiquitously disturbed in Asia. However, the molecular mechanisms reflect natural evolution of Artemisia remain unclear. In this study, a high-quality draft assembly allotetraploid A. (ArteW1-Tongbai) was conducted utilizing PacBio long-read sequencing and Hi-C technologies. about 7.20 Gb with contig N50 length 0.87 Mb. genome ArteW1-Tongbai highly heterozygous rich repeat sequences (the ratio 1.36%, rate 86.26%). A total 139,245 protein-coding genes were identified. KEGG enrichment analysis revealed 846 species-specific related to biosynthesis secondary metabolites. plants allopolyploid genomes can potentially exhibit better adaptive capacity environmental stresses accumulation Therefore, serves as valuable reference for Artemisia, genus characterized by species richness diverse specialized

Multiple hybrid de novo genome assembly of finger millet, an orphan allotetraploid crop

Finger millet (Eleusine coracana (L.) Gaertn) is an important crop for food security because of its tolerance to drought, which is expected to be exacerbated by global climate changes. Nevertheless, it is often classified as an orphan/underutilized crop because of the paucity of scientific attention. Among several small millets, finger millet is considered as an excellent source of essential nu...

Clustering of Short Read Sequences for de novo Transcriptome Assembly

Given the importance of transcriptome analysis in various biological studies and considering thevast amount of whole transcriptome sequencing data, it seems necessary to develop analgorithm to assemble transcriptome data. In this study we propose an algorithm fortranscriptome assembly in the absence of a reference genome. First, the contiguous sequencesare generated using de Bruijn graph with d...

Scalable De Novo Genome Assembly Using Pregel

De novo genome assembly is the process of stitching short DNA sequences to generate longer DNA sequences, without using any reference sequence for alignment. It enables highthroughput genome sequencing and thus accelerates the discovery of new genomes. In this paper, we present a toolkit, called PPA-assembler, for de novo genome assembly in a distributed setting. The operations in our toolkit p...

De Novo Assembly with the Genome Analyzer

The utility of the Illumina Genome Analyzer for a broad range of applications is evidenced by an amazing rate of publication by the research community1. In addition to human-scale resequencing2 –4 and other applications requiring a reference genome, researchers are performing de novo assembly. Several important organisms have been sequenced for the first time as a direct result of the consisten...

Extreme-Scale De Novo Genome Assembly

De novo whole genome assembly reconstructs genomic sequence from short, overlapping, and potentially erroneous DNA segments and is one of the most important computations in modern genomics. This work presents HipMER, a high-quality end-to-end de novo assembler designed for extreme scale analysis, via efficient parallelization of the Meraculous code. Genome assembly software has many components,...
